Financially Sound
Our ministry is to actively manage, protect and grow investment funds entrusted to us by institutions of the Catholic Church through three distinct investment funds. The Endowment and Investment funds were established in 2007 and are opened to Catholic entities within the Archdiocese of San Antonio and its provinces. The Investment Fund is offered through our wholly owned nonprofit subsidiary: The Catholic Fraternity Fund. Currently the total of all funds consists of 150 accounts totaling over $114 million. The fund is actively managed under the precepts of Socially Responsible Investing fully reflective of our Catholic faith. One of the advantages of being a part of a Catholic Community Foundation Fund & Catholic Fraternity Fund investment fund is that it provides the member organization the opportunity to be a part of a much larger fund providing critical mass of investment size so as to make a real difference in increasing the fund’s investment opportunities, mitigation of risk, increasing diversification options, lowering of money manager fees and maximizing the appreciation potential/returns paid to its members. The Fund is also unique in that it offers three investment funds for members to choose from and, what’s more, a member may divide their investment across as many of the funds as they wish with no additional fees.
Our Growth and Rates of Return
The goal of each fund is to offer competitive returns while investing according to the Catholic faith as outlined by United States Conference of Catholic Bishops statement on Social Responsible Investing. The investment strategy was slightly updated in February 2021. Note: Returns below are a historical look back of the current Investment funds and are not representative of a participants return.
