A Testament of Faith, Hope, and Compassion
Dear Friends in Faith,
This past year has been one of gratitude, growth, and grace for our Catholic Community Foundation. Guided by our mission to sustain and strengthen the ministries of our Church, we have continued to steward the gifts entrusted to us with faithfulness and care.
Through the trust and stewardship of our community, CCF now manages more than 168 charitable funds — including permanent endowments, donor advised funds, and other investment accounts — all designed to support the long-term vitality of our Catholic ministries. These funds serve as a testament to the enduring generosity of our Catholic faithful and their desire to make a lasting impact for generations to come.
Through the generosity of our donors and the prudent oversight of our Board, CCF now supports more than 85 endowments benefiting parishes, schools, and ministries across our diocese. These funds not only provide for today’s needs but ensure that future generations will continue to experience the richness of our Catholic faith. CCF provided over $3,260,000 in endowment grants to 59 organizations.
In 2024, our investment program generated 18% in returns, allowing us to support scholarships, parish life, and charitable initiatives. Our total assets under management reached $145,800,000, reflecting both the continued growth of new funds and the prudent oversight of existing investments. Our investment strategies are guided by Catholic values and aligned with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines, ensuring that our financial stewardship reflects our shared faith commitments. As we look ahead, we remain committed to serving as a bridge between faith and generosity — ensuring that every gift, large
or small, advances the Gospel and strengthens the mission of the Church in our communities.

The Twin Missions of CCF
Since our inception in 2006, The Catholic Community Foundation of San Antonio has been an ardent champion of philanthropy within the Catholic community. We embrace a twofold mission:
Nurturing the Establishment of Permanent Funds:
At CCF, we walk alongside generous donors, empowering them to create enduring funds that stand as enduring testaments to their unwavering dedication to the causes close to their hearts. These funds are the bedrock of perpetual support, ensuring that the missions they support continue to thrive.
Facilitating Responsible Investment Stewardship:
CCF extends its committed hand to parishes, schools, and other Catholic organizations by providing them with efficient and morally sound investment management solutions. Our approach is rooted in Catholic Socially Responsible Investing, safeguarding the growth of endowment assets, and nurturing their capacity to serve our beloved Catholic community for generations to come.

Sustaining Hope Through Faith and Giving
Through the generosity of donors and the stewardship of eight endowments benefiting Catholic Charities programs, the Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) awarded more than $125,000 in grants in 2025 to support the organization’s mission of serving those in need. Over the past six
years, Catholic Charities has received a total of $370,000 in grants from these endowments, providing a consistent source of funding that helps sustain their vital work.
These grants have played an important role in expanding Catholic Charities’ capacity, navigating a changing funding landscape, and addressing unplanned expenses. With the rising cost of living, support from endowment distributions allows the agency to continue meeting the basic needs of individuals, families, and seniors experiencing hunger when other funding
may fall short.
Endowment funding has also helped Catholic Charities grow its counseling services, giving vulnerable individuals access to mental health and case management resources. In 2025, this support even covered unexpected costs, such as the replacement of an air conditioning system, allowing programs to continue without interruption.
CCF is proud to partner with Catholic Charities and to help honor the intentions of the donors who make this ongoing impact possible. Together, they ensure lasting stability and compassionate care for the community year after year.
Financial Health
Endowments
An Endowment Fund provides funding to a Catholic parish, school, organization or charitable cause in perpetuity, making it possible to ensure long-term financial support. The Catholic Community Foundation distributed 57 grants for over $2,940,000 in 2024 and, since inception, 482 grants for over $26,940,000.

Donor advised fund
A Donor Advised Fund is an invested fund that an individual or family can create to allow for long term, hands-on, philanthropic giving. Contributions are always tax-free. They can be done as often as you wish. DAFs are a great alternative to creating a family, private foundation. The Catholic Community Foundation issued 67 grants for $544,000 in 2024 bringing the total number of Grants to 353 for $3,744,000.

Investment Agency Accounts
Catholic parishes, schools and organizations partner with the Catholic Community Foundation through an investment agency account to manage, grow and safeguard their assets. They can balance their acceptable risk with financial objectives while investing in a manner consistent with our Catholic faith. The Catholic Community Foundation has approximately 70 investment agency accounts with over $25,000,000 in assets.
